Big Brain

Selective Entry & Scholarship Mock (Years 10 & 11), 14 November 2026

Sat, 14 Nov, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm (Melbourne time)

Monash University ClaytonWellington Road, Clayton VIC 3800

For students in Year 8 or 9 now

About this exam

A full practice run of the exam your child will actually sit, under the conditions they will sit it in: a real venue, a real timetable, and every paper in one morning.

It is the same morning for everyone sitting this exam, which is what makes the report at the end mean something.

What you get afterwards

A report by email once marking is done: your child's score on every paper, and where that sits against everyone else who sat the same papers that day.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost?

Your family's first in-person mock with us is free. After that it is $65, or $55 if you're on any paid Big Brain plan, plus a card fee. You can also use a mock exam credit. Not on a paid plan yet? Big Brain Standard or Premium gets you the $55 rate on every mock after your first.

Which one should my child sit?

This one is for students in Year 8 or 9 now sitting the Edutest selective entry exam (Melbourne High, Mac.Rob, Nossal, Suzanne Cory) or an Edutest scholarship in 2027, for entry in 2028. Four exams run the same morning in the same room, one for each entry exam. Pick the one your child is sitting next year.

Where is it?

Monash University Clayton. We will email the building and room the week before.

Do we need a Big Brain account?

Yes, and booking creates one. It is how the results reach you, and it is where the report lives afterwards.

What if we can't make it?

Cancel from your events page, or reply to your confirmation email, as soon as you know. Seats are capped and there is usually someone waiting on one. A missed free seat still counts as your free first mock.
